Information for innovation
Sphere has three decades' experience designing, building and maintaining health and care business intelligence solutions.
Our work ranges from complex data migration between case management and financial systems to geospatial models of care economies.
We use enterprise-grade information platforms typically found in much larger organisations.
Our intelligence platform contributes to the success of health and care commissioning projects. You can use it by subscription, too.
Your project with our technology
We use our platform to find and analyse the data required in the early stages of a consulting project. In these cases, we quickly define information governance so that we can safely and legally process your confidential information in our digital estate. This frees your information teams for other work and accelerates the project from the outset.
At the end of each project, we like to hand over the business intelligence tools that we develop for it, at no extra cost, so you can continue to get value from them.
For example, in Edinburgh, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire we built bespoke datawarehouses of local care markets and presented them in searchable care maps for their commissioners and brokers.
We call these applications "careplaces". They help commissioners with planning and market oversight and brokers quickly find current, accurate information about price and availability of care long after our work with customers concludes.
Your project with your technology
Some customers prefer us to work exclusively in their information systems for reasons of security and sustainability. We sometimes enhance those systems with new sources of information, for example, new reports or functional enhancement case management and finance recording applications.
In these projects, we work closely with your IT and information teams, sharing our methods and experience.
Whether we use your systems or ours, our customers say that our legacy is information that is more reliable, accurate and useful.
Information as a service
We are developing new, self-service intelligence platforms, careplaces.ai, which is about local care economies, and whatsinaplace.com, which is about the cost of deprivation and opportunities to make local public services affordable by alleviating it.
You can use them by subscription, with or without consultancy.
